We love photographing babies! They are fun, unpredictable and every session is unique. Some babies will smile. Some won’t even bear a grin even if we stand on our heads with hula hoops making all the animal noises we can think of. Please know that we will do all we can to try to get your baby to smile, but it just doesn’t happen every time. Some of the best images are are ones in which your little one isn’t smiling.

We encourage you to bring any personal items that are meaningful to your family such as a silver rattle, a favorite stuffed animal, a homemade blanket, special clothing or anything that will help personalize the image.

Should your baby get fussy, we are more than happy to take a break so you can feed them, change their diaper, etc.

If it will make you feel more comfortable, feel free to bring someone to help you. At the sessions, even older siblings can sit next to us while we photograph and talk to the baby and help get great expressions! Many mothers bring their own mothers with them to share in this fun experience as well. The only thing that extra people that come with you will want to know is that when we are photographing, we have to be low to the floor, and if another person is in the room talking to the baby, the baby will be looking up in the images which is not desirable, so we always ask those people to sit next to us while we photograph if they want to participate in the action.
